Good Morning, Friends and Prayer Partners.
We would like to ask for a few quick prayer requests. Our youngest daughter, Emily (4 years old), is going in to have her tonsils and adenoids removed along with vent tubes put in her ears. Please pray for her to do well during the surgery and in the recovery.
She is scheduled for Thursday morning at 7:30a.m. We hope the fever that she had yesterday is gone and that this surgery won't be put back another week.
We appreciate your prayers for Emilyand for the work of the Lord here in Brazil. We began a new evangelistic outreach campaign that will last until the end of November and are praying for renewed growth in the church. For the first two Sundays we saw 95 in the morning services and 85 in the evening. We are currently seeking God's direction about a Brazilian pastorto lead this church in the future.

Hi again.
We want to thank each of you who prayed for Emily. When you think of having these procedures done in the States it is common-place. Our doctor here is very competent too, but we always are concerned for our child's well-being. We do have some of the best hospital care available in São Paulo.
Emily came through the surgery well. I'm sure you all remember the 7 dwarfs of Snow White. I believe the doctor gave us back the wrong dwarf. Although, we gave the doctors "Happy," he gave us back "Grumpy." Before the surgery, Emily was happy and having lots of fun playing with the automated hospital bed. Afterwards, she wouldn't have anything to do with anybody. She would only grunt if someone looked at her.
Today, she finally ate around 4:30pm. The doctor said she'll be back to normal in about five more days.
