Hi Praying Family & Friends:
We rejoice at Gloria's salvation decision after church last Sunday night. She has been in and out of church for over a year. Her husband, who is a Spiritist, left here about a month ago. Our new coworker Steve Sundberg preached a good salvation message. We are thrilled to have their family here with us now. They are getting settled into their house and life in Sao Paulo at this time.
This month has been extra busy for Jeff as Judy and Anna are in the States visiting her mom and dad. Judy's dad, Pete, has been in and out of the hospital for pulminary fibrosis and congestive heart failure. He is on oxygen and at home now, but he has seen some difficult days. Jeff is acting as dad, mom, pastor and assitant to two new missionary families at this time. He is not complaining, we just want to let you know how to pray effectively. The new missionaries are well ahead of us in language ability when we arrived on the field, so it is limited help that they need from time to time.
We had our fourth window broken at the church last night. We hope this stops, but we need to take some steps to prevent further damage. Security cameras would hlep, but are expensive. Metal grates would help, but are less atractive. Motion lights will be installed in either case. Pray that these vandels will cease.
Please pray for our financial situation. We are steadily falling behind in our support account. Our support was reevaluated last month and we are currently $600.00 short of what is necessary for our expense needs. Please pray for this very important need that we have.
We are delighted that God is moving in the hearts of our people and they are excited about the work of the Lord in their neighborhood. We continue to see new visitors and are praying for them to return to our services and to trust the Lord for their salvation.
God Bless!
Love in Christ,
Jeff for All

You had a good question and I thought I would share it with the other folks on our prayer update list. I hope you don't mind...
We thank you so much for praying for our girls. May I ask your names? I'm sorry, but I can't remember your names based on you email address.
Anna is currently in the States with her mom, as I mentioned. She is enjoying companionship with a few of the friends she made while we were home on furlough. Just this week she did find out that she has asthma.
She is ready to come back to Brazil. They are flying "stand-by" and they are not sure if they can even get on the plane Tuesday night. She is going into 9th grade this school year.
Alicia is here in Brazil we me and enjoying her vacation. She just finished 4th grade at the beginning of July. The extra Brazilian holidays and mom's busy schedule set her back, but she finally got in all of her studies. She enjoys having friends over and staying at friends' houses. She is taking piano lessons and enjoys singing.
Emily is our youngest and keeps us busy. She is three years old and has an inquisitive mind - to say the least. We have been stumped by a bad habit that she has. She pulls her hair so she can have some to play with as she sucks her thumb. This is a little personal to be sharing, but we need prayer that she will stop doing this, or that we can get some advice on how to help her to stop.
Her Portuguese is coming along pretty well. It's cute to hear her abbreviations of Portuguese words. She has made two friends, both named Isabel. They are all close in age. The Brazilian girls are learning English from her as she insists on talk to them in English.
Love in Christ,
Jeff for All
