Dear Family and Friends,
I am reminded of (Ecclesiastes 3:1): "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:" This is a new season for our family.
In the middle of June, Judy's father went to the hospital with breathing difficulties. Because of his failing health, Judy and Anna left Brazil to be with him and her mom at this time. We had hoped she would return here by August 2, but now because her father is back in the hospital for the third time, she has delayed her return. Also, because they are flying stand-by, they will not have available seats until August 8. The vacation month of August limits the available seats. We are so thankful for the kind help of a stranger that gave Judy and Anna the "buddy passes." The two of them flew for less than half the cost of one normal fare.
Also, on July 10, our colleagues, the Forans, left for their furlough. They are settled in Tennessee for their year in the States. We already miss them, but know that with God's help and the July 19, arrival of our team members, the Sundbergs, things will go ahead according to God's sovereign plan.
Jeff has been "holding down the fort" and hosting the Sundbergs. They just got into their house today. It is great to have them with us. They are trying to adjust to life in Sao Paulo. The hardest adjustment is the cold. Leaving the tropics and coming here
