(User Info | Send a Message) http://www.graciouscall.org | I tend to answer the polls that Pastor has me put up almost immediately after I post them, but this one had me really thinking. Many Christian brothers continue to talk about the USA as a Christian nation, and many others call it a post-Christian nation. I know that Isreal is God's People - a nation that is set apart. Christians are called to be a"chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy." (1Pe 2:9-10 NKJ) However, I see in Scripture neither a definition nor an example of a nation of the earth that is Christian. Even the visible Church has both wheat and tares. So, I ask - what is a Christian nation? |
