There are still some of Adam's descendents that say "give me back my rib please" to Eve's descendents, refusing to take responsibility for their choice to follow Eve down the road of sin. God has made it abundantly clear that he created man and woman EQUAL.
Sure, Paul's ministry deals with some of these issues. But I'll bet it doesn't change God's mind. He still thinks we're EQUAL.
So I guess the best comment to the question.
Should women hold the office of Pastor? is
Why SHOULDN'T women hold the office of Pastor?
If we all hold with what we've been taught: Believe what you read in scripture. Then show me some.

It leads me to wonder if it's out of arrogance or insecurity or some other strangely rooted belief that spans a century that men are better than women. No that can't be it, that would just be a little too ignorant even for those old fashioned types. |
